Mandatory Closure

If classes are canceled due to government mandates, such as we experienced with Covid 19, in 2020…

During weeks 1 or 2  we will give a 40% refund, no credit option because it is complicated to track.
During weeks 3 or 4 we will give a 20% refund.
After 4 weeks no refund will be given.
All work that reached the trimmed stage will be bisqued and made available for students to claim. Glazed pots will be fired when we reopen.  Untrimmed work will be discarded.

Workshops Withdrawal

No refunds will be given within two weeks of the workshop.

Cancelations Due to Foul Weather

If the Pittsburgh Public Schools have a 2-hour delay or are closed, Fireborn MAY close or delay also. Schools sometimes close because of cold weather, but cold weather is not a sufficient reason for us to delay or close. Delays and closings for Fireborn will be posted here by 8:30 a.m. for morning classes and 4:30 p.m. for evening classes. We will reschedule if feasible.

Cancelations of an Eight Week Class

Fireborn may cancel an 8-week class due to insufficient enrollment, in which case deposits will be refunded.
