Description
*IMPORTANT: This is an intermediate class. As such, you must have taken at least two wheel-throwing classes previously, either here at Fireborn or elsewhere, and be proficient in basic throwing skills.
This class meets 8 consecutive Tuesday evenings. Time: 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
If you wish to purchase two classes, one for you and one for a friend, please place the two orders separately, one at a time, creating two invoices. This helps us with our record keeping.
Intermediate classes focus on techniques for making more complex forms. They may have lids, handles, and other attachments such as teapots, jars, casseroles, pitchers, vases and vessels. You will add value to your work by the use of altering, carving, texture, painting and slip decoration, etc. Emphasis will be placed on design, aesthetics, understanding the nature of clay, the history of the craft, and developing your own voice and style. Prerequisite: at least two beginner classes, basic throwing skills, and the desire to learn.
This class has a fixed price of $400 for everyone.
