12:00 – 3:30 p.m. Note new hours. Saturday open studio access, without instruction, is sometimes available depending on whether or not the studio is booked for other activities. This is a great way to hone your skills with extra practice.
Open studio terms:
If you are currently enrolled in an 8-week class, you may attend an open studio on a per diem basis ($25). Sign up below, online and pay in advance. Open Studio Saturdays are not the same as a make-up class and thus are not free.
You may use open studio time to throw, trim, or glaze (if you are a certified independent glazer, otherwise no glazing). For throwing, Fireborn clay must be used and may be purchased as needed.
You will need to maintain balance in our studio flow. Please trim anything you have under plastic before making new work. Please sign your work with your last name, date and regular class symbol (not the Saturday symbol) so we can put your work in the proper place after the bisque firing. If we can’t decipher it, it will be difficult for you to find your work later. Independent glazers should glaze. If you were collecting bisque ware at home and are an independent glazer, then bring it in for Open Studio to glaze it. Please do not use open studio to do high volume production because we don’t have the capacity to fit it under plastic on the leather hard shelves.
